Terms of Service
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Welcome to The Bee Bridge. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of thebeebridge.org, our member portal, and related online services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by The Bee Bridge, a small, early-stage nonprofit organization focused on urban beekeeping education, pollinator conservation, and community programs in Fort Worth and North Texas. Our application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status has been submitted; IRS approval is pending.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. About The Bee Bridge
The Bee Bridge is a community-focused nonprofit in its early stages. Our website provides information about our mission, programs, and ways to get involved. Our member portal provides tools and resources for approved members. We are building programs thoughtfully and transparently — some features (such as online donations) may not yet be fully available while we complete organizational setup.
2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Services. By using the website, submitting a form, creating a member account (where approved), or otherwise interacting with our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
- The public website is open to general visitors. The member portal is available only to individuals approved for membership under our membership policies.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information when registering, applying for membership, or submitting forms.
- We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account has been misused or these Terms have been violated.
4. Permitted Use
You may use our Services for lawful, personal, educational, and community purposes aligned with our mission. You agree not to:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without permission
- Impersonate The Bee Bridge, our staff, volunteers, or other users
- Upload malware, spam, or harmful code
- Use the Services to harass, threaten, or harm others
- Misrepresent your affiliation with The Bee Bridge
- Use our educational content to promote unsafe, illegal, or irresponsible beekeeping practices
5. User-Submitted Information and Content
When you submit information through contact forms, volunteer sign-ups, membership applications, bee removal requests, donation waitlists, or similar features, you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to provide it.
By submitting content (including messages, photos, or other materials), you grant The Bee Bridge a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content solely to operate our programs, respond to your request, maintain records, and improve our services. We will not publicly share your private submissions except as needed to fulfill your request, operate our programs, or as described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions do not infringe others' rights or contain unlawful material.
6. Educational Content — Important Disclaimer
The Bee Bridge provides educational information about honey bees, pollinators, beekeeping, urban ecology, and related topics. This content is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not tailored to your specific circumstances, location, health conditions, property, or experience level.
Our content does not constitute professional, medical, veterinary, legal, financial, insurance, or expert beekeeping advice. Nothing on the Services creates a professional-client, advisory, or fiduciary relationship between you and The Bee Bridge.
Beekeeping and work near live colonies involve inherent and serious risks, including but not limited to bee stings, allergic reactions (including anaphylaxis), infection, falls, equipment injury, property damage, nuisance or liability disputes with neighbors, regulatory violations, harm to colonies or other animals, and environmental impacts. Conditions vary by location, season, weather, colony temperament, and local law.
You use our educational content and participate in any related activities entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for evaluating information, obtaining appropriate training and permits, using proper protective equipment, and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, HOA rules, and land-use requirements before starting, managing, or hosting hives — especially in urban or public settings.
Program descriptions, timelines, site availability, and volunteer opportunities may change without notice as our nonprofit grows. We do not guarantee that any program, event, hive placement, or educational outcome will occur on a particular timeline or at all.
6a. Assumption of Risk
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by using the Services or relying on any information obtained through them, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with beekeeping, pollinator work, outdoor activities, and community program participation — whether or not such risks are foreseeable and whether or not The Bee Bridge has been advised of them. This includes risks arising from your own actions, the actions of others, equipment failure, environmental conditions, and reliance on website or portal content.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including text, graphics, logos, images, program materials, and site design, are owned by The Bee Bridge or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and share links to our public content for personal, non-commercial, and community educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our materials without prior written permission, except where allowed by law or clearly indicated on the site.
The Bee Bridge name, logo, and related branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written consent.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Bee Bridge relies on carefully selected third-party vendors to operate the Services, including for functions such as website delivery, data storage, account access, communications, security, analytics, file handling, and payment processing. We do not publicly identify our specific technology vendors as a security precaution. Those vendors may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.
Our Services may also link to external websites or resources (for example, social media or partner content). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, policies, or practices. Your use of any third-party service — whether linked from our site or used behind the scenes to deliver our Services — is at your own risk and subject to that party's terms.
We are not liable for interruptions, errors, data loss, or security incidents originating from third-party services, except to the extent required by applicable law.
9. Donations and Payments
When online donation functionality is available, donations will be processed through a third-party payment service acting on our behalf. Donation terms, tax deductibility, and receipts will be provided at the time of donation in accordance with our tax-exempt status at that time and applicable law. We do not store full payment card details on our own systems. Until donation features are fully active and any applicable tax-exempt recognition is in place, any waitlist or interest forms do not constitute a completed donation.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, PROGRAM INFORMATION, AND COMMUNICATIONS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE BEE BRIDGE AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, CONTRACTORS, PARTNERS, AND AGENTS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “BEE BRIDGE PARTIES”) DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THE BEE BRIDGE PARTIES DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, CURRENT, OR RELIABLE; (C) DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; (D) THE SERVICES OR UNDERLYING SYSTEMS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR (E) THIRD-PARTY SERVICES USED TO DELIVER THE SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE OR ERROR-FREE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING SUFFICIENT SAFEGUARDS AND BACKUP PROCEDURES FOR YOUR OWN DEVICES AND DATA.
Any opinions, guidance, or statements on the Services reflect educational intent only and do not constitute guarantees of outcomes, hive health, honey production, regulatory approval, tax treatment, or safety.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE BEE BRIDGE PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICES, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON CONTENT OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICES, PARTICIPATION IN PROGRAMS OR EVENTS DESCRIBED ON THE SERVICES, OR ANY BEEKEEPING, POLLINATOR, VOLUNTEER, OR OUTDOOR ACTIVITY UNDERTAKEN IN CONNECTION WITH INFORMATION FROM THE SERVICES.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THE BEE BRIDGE PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL; PERSONAL INJURY; BODILY INJURY; EMOTIONAL DISTRESS; PROPERTY DAMAGE; COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, THE BEE BRIDGE PARTIES' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE BEE BRIDGE FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or warranties. In those jurisdictions, the BEE BRIDGE PARTIES' liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification and Release
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the BEE BRIDGE PARTIES from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your submissions or content; (c) your beekeeping, pollinator, volunteer, or related activities undertaken in reliance on the Services; (d) your violation of these Terms; (e) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (f) any dispute between you and a third party connected to your use of the Services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the BEE BRIDGE PARTIES from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or related to your use of the Services or participation in activities described on the Services, including claims of negligence (other than gross negligence or willful misconduct where such release is prohibited by law).
13. Changes to the Services and Terms
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the organization, our users, or the public. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
