Programs for Community Education & Urban Pollination

The Bee Bridge is building programs that put public education first — using managed hives on city-owned and public land to help the whole community learn about pollinators, while supporting responsible beekeeping that benefits everyone.

We are in our early stages, growing thoughtfully. 501(c)(3) application submitted — IRS approval pending.

Educational Outreach & Programs

Public education is at the heart of The Bee Bridge. We are building school programs, workshops, community presentations, and hands-on learning experiences that help people understand pollinators, honey bees, and urban ecology.

  • School and youth programs that connect students to pollinators and local food systems
  • Public workshops and guided tours at managed hive sites on city-owned land
  • Community presentations for neighborhoods, civic groups, and partner organizations
  • Educational resources and events as our first yards and partnerships come online

Urban Bee Yards on Public Land

We place and manage honey bee hives on city-owned and public spaces — such as parks and other community properties — to support urban pollination and create visible, hands-on learning opportunities for the public.

  • Carefully managed hives that serve as living classrooms in the community
  • Partnerships with cities and landowners to use public land responsibly
  • Pollinator habitat awareness alongside hive stewardship
  • Sites designed for observation, tours, and public education — not hidden backyard hobby yards

Supporting Local Beekeepers

The Bee Bridge helps qualified local beekeepers access suitable land they might not otherwise have — while ensuring their work contributes to the broader community through education, responsible practices, and public engagement.

  • Access to managed yards on public land for members who meet program standards
  • Training, mentorship, and a community of practice
  • Structure and resources through the member portal
  • Beekeepers as partners in modeling responsible urban beekeeping for the public

Community Events & Engagement

As our programs grow, we plan to host community events that bring people together around pollinators — from public learning days to seasonal activities that celebrate bees and local ecology.

  • Public learning days and open hive demonstrations as sites launch
  • Seasonal community gatherings such as honey extraction or hive observation events
  • Neighborhood and festival outreach across Fort Worth and North Texas
  • Events developed thoughtfully as we build capacity — watch for announcements

Growing with the community

These programs are being built step by step as we establish partnerships, launch our first public bee yards, and develop educational offerings. We are transparent about being early-stage — and committed to programs that serve the public, not just individual beekeepers.

Humane bee removal and relocation may be offered in the future when we have beekeeper capacity to respond reliably. Until then, general inquiries can be sent through our contact form.
